The basics
The Eufy Omni C20 sits above the C10, which is a model that only works as a vacuum cleaner with a self-emptying dust bin in the base station. However, the new Omni C20 is a vacuum-and-mop combo, where the base also washes and dries a pair of rotating mop pads and refills the robot’s water tank. The Eufy Omni C20 has been a sales success, achieving very high ratings from users.
Mopping
What the Eufy Omni C20 does best is mopping. The mop pads rotate at 180 revolutions per minute. They automatically lift when the robot detects a carpet, allowing it to mop and vacuum at the same time in a single session without user intervention.
Power of suction
The suction power of this robot vacuum is 7,000 Pa. This figure surpasses older models that operated at 2,500–4,000 Pa. That said, power alone is not the only determining factor in cleaning performance. Airflow efficiency and the design of the main brush are also vital.
All-in-One station
In addition to automatically emptying the robot’s dust bin into a disposable bag, the base also washes the mop pads, dries them, and refills the water tank. The base includes a removable tray for manual cleaning.
The water tank capacities of the base are as follows:
- Clean water tank: 2.5 L
- Dirty water tank: 2.4 L
This capacity is somewhat limited compared to its competitors, such as the Roborock Q Revo, which features 4-liter tanks for clean water and 3.5 liters for dirty water. The Dreame L10s Ultra shares a similar capacity of 2.5 L. The downside of such a small tank is that in large homes (over 150 square meters), users will likely need to refill the clean water tank and empty the dirty water tank more frequently.
Navigation
The navigation system of the Eufy Omni C20 is based on LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology. However, the most notable absence is the lack of RGB cameras or 3D structured-light systems for reactive obstacle avoidance.
Smaller objects, such as cables, small pet toys, or pet waste, are invisible to the robot, causing it to bump into and push them around—unlike AI-powered models such as the Roborock S8.
App
Despite its limitations in avoiding small obstacles, LiDAR technology allows the C20 to generate maps. Through the Eufy Clean app, users can perform the following functions:
- Multi-Floor Mapping: Ability to store and automatically recognize maps of different levels of the home.
- No-Go Zones: Virtual barriers that prevent access to delicate or problematic areas.
- Room-by-Room Customization: Configuration of suction power and water flow level for each specific room (e.g., intensive mopping in the kitchen, quiet vacuuming in the bedroom).
Cleaning performance
Vacuuming on hard floors and carpets
The 7,000 Pa motor demonstrated outstanding effectiveness at picking up heavy debris (sand, small stones, pet food) on hard floors (porcelain tile, laminate wood).
On carpets, performance was good, although raw suction power does not always translate into deep fiber cleaning. However, the active detangling system keeps the brush free of hair during the session.
Effectiveness of rotary mopping
The Mop Master™ system represents a qualitative leap compared to static pads:
- Stain removal: The robot is capable of removing dried coffee or juice stains in one or two passes.
- Edges and corners: Unlike newer models from Dreame or Roborock that feature extendable arms (“FlexiArm”) to push the mop closer to baseboards, the C20 leaves a small un-mopped strip (approx. 3–5 cm) along walls and in corners.
Verdict
If you plan to buy this robot, you need to be willing to pick up all cables and small objects before putting it into operation. One of this robot’s advantages is its design—if you have furniture with short legs, this model is for you. It is also perfect if you have pets at home, as it features an anti-tangle brush. Without a doubt, the Eufy Omni C20 is an excellent device with great value for money.
