Brush
The Ecovacs Deebot T30S features a V-shaped roller brush with flat bristles angled at 21 degrees. This angle is calculated so that when it vacuums hair, it is guided directly into the dustbin without issues.
However, what is truly innovative about its brush system lies in the dual comb teeth arrays integrated into the brush compartment. These combs act as an active detangling mechanism.
Suction Power
This model delivers a suction power of 11,000 Pa, representing a huge leap compared to the 8,000 Pa of the previous model, the X2 Omni, and placing the T30S at the very top of the current market. This level of suction is more than sufficient to clean long-pile carpets or pet hair.
Mopping
The Ecovacs Deebot T30S has abandoned the static mop system in favor of the OZMO Turbo 2.0 rotary system. This system uses two circular pads that rotate at high speed. This mopping system can remove coffee stains, juice spills, or dried mud through constant friction.
The robot features a 55 ml internal water tank, which is automatically refilled from the base station.
Intelligent Lifting System (Auto Mop Lifting)
To allow simultaneous cleaning of surfaces such as carpets and hard floors, the Ecovacs Deebot T30S incorporates an automatic mop lifting system with a 9 mm elevation.
When a carpet is detected, the mops instantly lift 9 mm and stop rotating.
It is important to note that the 9 mm lift is suitable for short- and medium-pile carpets, but long-pile carpets may still slightly brush against the damp mops.
Mop Washing
A standout feature is the mop washing system that uses hot water at 70°C. By washing at this temperature, the station ensures the dissolution of oils and dirt adhered to the mop fibers—something cold water cannot effectively achieve.
Battery
This robot comes with a 5,200 mAh battery, providing an autonomy of between 180 and 290 minutes depending on the power mode.
Below, we leave you a simulator in case you would like to simulate a cleaning session.
Navigation: TrueMapping 2.0 – dToF LiDAR Precision
All models in the T30S series use LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) mounted on a top turret for mapping. They employ dToF (direct Time-of-Flight) technology, similar to that used in the aerospace industry and in autonomous vehicles.
dToF allows for a wider scanning range (10 meters) than conventional LDS LiDAR (laser triangulation). In addition, it provides greater precision in detecting small or dark objects. This system enables the T30S to map an area of 100 square meters in just 6 minutes, generating detailed home floor plans that can be edited, divided, and labeled within the app.
Ecovacs Home App and Customization
The app offers a very wide range of usage options. Users can adjust suction power, water flow, and cleaning intensity on a per-room basis.
- Intelligent Housekeeper Mode 2.0: This algorithm dynamically adjusts cleaning parameters based on usage history and room type (e.g., more suction in the kitchen, less water in the bedroom).
- Map Management: Supports both 3D and 2D maps, allowing room merging and splitting, creation of no-go zones, and “no-mopping” zones. The ability to store up to 3 permanent maps plus one temporary map makes it ideal for multi-story homes.
Smart Dirt Detection
Once the robot completes a floor-cleaning cycle with the mops, it returns to the base to empty the dirty water it has collected. If the base detects that the water contains a high level of dirt, the Ecovacs Deebot T30S automatically returns to the previously cleaned area and washes it again without any user intervention.
The Omni Station
The base station of the Ecovacs Deebot T30S almost completely automates the robot’s daily maintenance. Its design is 30% smaller than most other auto-empty stations on the market, making it one of the most efficient stations available today.
Verdict
As you’ve seen, the Ecovacs Deebot T30S performs particularly well in homes with pets, thanks to its 11,000 Pa suction power and ZeroTangle brush. In addition, it features hot-water mop washing and its mechanical TruEdge system. Without a doubt, this is a robot well-suited for people who value convenience and have pets at home.
FAQ
How does TruEdge™ edge cleaning work? Does it really reach corners?
Yes. Unlike other robots that "wiggle" their tail to clean edges, the T30S features a continuous extendable arm on the right mop pad. It automatically extends when it detects walls or furniture legs, cleaning just 1 mm away from the edge with 100% coverage.
Does the ZeroTangle system prevent long hair or pet hair tangles?
It is extremely effective. It uses a V-shaped brush with anti-static bristles and, most importantly, a dual comb array integrated into the suction mouth that actively untangles hair before it can tighten around the roller. It has a certified 0% tangle rate.
What does the robot do when it encounters a carpet?
Thanks to its ultrasonic sensors, it automatically detects carpets and lifts the mop pads 9 mm to avoid wetting them. Simultaneously, it increases suction power to the maximum for deep cleaning.
Does it work with 5GHz WiFi networks?
No, like most IoT devices, the Deebot T30S is only compatible with 2.4GHz WiFi networks to ensure better range and stability through walls. Please ensure this band is enabled on your router during setup.
