The Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is one of the most powerful cordless vacuum cleaners on the market, featuring a Hyperdymium motor spinning at 125,000 rpm, generating 240 AW of suction power. It has truly impressed us, not only on hard floors but also on carpets and when vacuuming pet hair. We tested it with dog hair, cat hair, lint, crumbs, and dust. It left no trace behind.

In addition, it offers 3 adjustable power modes:

• Eco mode is the least powerful, but it allows you to extend battery life. I used it often on tile and parquet floors.
• Medium mode offers a balance between power and autonomy. It is very useful for very dirty floors, corners, and light cleaning of sofas and carpets.
• If you are cleaning surfaces with deeply embedded dirt, such as carpets or upholstery, it is best to use Boost mode.

However, there is an additional mode that this vacuum cleaner offers: Auto mode, which automatically adjusts the power according to the amount of dirt on the surface. This optimizes battery life and improves the overall energy efficiency of the device.

Battery life and charging

The battery performance of the Dyson V15 is acceptable. It offers up to 70 minutes of runtime when used continuously in Eco mode without accessories. However, this duration is reduced to around 10 minutes when used constantly in Boost mode. In Auto mode, battery life can vary, providing better overall autonomy. Unfortunately, this vacuum cleaner takes quite a long time to charge—just under four hours.

LCD screen and real-time data

Another standout feature of the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is its LCD screen, located at the top of the device. It displays:

• The amount and size of the particles vacuumed
• The active cleaning mode (Eco, Auto, Medium, or Boost)
• The remaining battery level
• Maintenance notifications

Fluffy Optic laser technology: innovation at another level

Laser technology is one of the most innovative features of this model. The cleaning head emits a green laser at floor level, allowing you to see particles that are invisible to the naked eye. This system is especially useful when cleaning dark areas.
