Overall Score
The Dreame L10s Ultra is excellent if you want a truly “hands-off” experience: it builds a 3D map, lets you set no-go zones, saves multiple maps, and adapts mopping by lifting the pads on carpets. On hard floors it cleans very well even with heavy mess, and in intensive mode it delivers solid results (though it takes longer). Its limits show up on carpets—especially with pet hair and fine debris—and with dried stains when mopping, which may require multiple passes or some manual help. Bottom line: a great option for daily maintenance and homes with hard floors, but if your #1 priority is carpets + pet hair, there are more consistent alternatives.
Pros
- Very strong hard-floor cleaning.
- Full automation.
- Detects carpets and automatically lifts the mop pads.
- Allows deep cleaning (2+ passes and max power per zone).
- Very effective mopping on wet or fresh stains.
Cons
- Carpet performance drops, especially with pet hair and fine debris.
- Long hair can tangle and increases maintenance.
- Dried stains can be stubborn and may require multiple passes or manual help.
- In intensive mode it cleans very well, but takes longer and uses more battery.

Hard floor
In user-run tests, the Dreame L10s Ultra picked up all visible debris from the floor, even with a noticeable buildup. However, when pushed with a higher dirt load, it still managed to vacuum everything—but not instantly. In deep mode it needs a few extra minutes to leave the floor truly clean, because it does more passes and takes the time to cover everything precisely.
Pros
- Very strong performance with built-up mess (not just fine dust).
- Handles demanding tests without falling short mid-clean.
- In intensive mode it prioritizes results, not “fast and sloppy”.
Cons
- Deep cleans can take a few extra minutes compared to a normal pass.
- If you use intensive mode often, total runtime will likely increase (and wear/battery use, depending on settings).

Carpet
On low-pile carpets it has no issues: it moves smoothly and vacuums debris without leaving “half-done” areas. On high-pile carpets, however, you can tell it has to work harder: it moves less fluidly and may need more time or an extra pass, although it still ends up picking up the visible dirt. The weak spot is fine debris (dust, very small sand, or light particles): on carpets—especially high-pile—it can struggle more to capture it completely, because that type of dirt tends to get trapped between the fibers.
Pros
- Excellent performance on low-pile carpets.
- On high-pile, it slows down but still picks up most “larger” debris.
Cons
- On high-pile carpets it may take longer and require additional passes.
- Fine debris can be hard to remove completely, especially on high-pile.

Pet hair
While it picks up pet hair very well, long hair tends to tangle more easily in the brush, which can force you to do maintenance more often if you live with long-haired dogs or cats. On carpets, its pet-hair performance drops noticeably: it doesn’t always vacuum it completely and can leave hair behind, even after one pass.
Pros
- Very good overall pet-hair pickup.
- Works especially well on hard floors and with visible debris.
Cons
- Long hair tangles more easily and increases maintenance.
- On low-pile carpets its performance is weaker and may require tweaks (boost/multiple passes).

Obstacle Avoidance
This robot offers a 3D home mapping system that lets you see the layout in more detail and fine-tune cleaning with precision. In addition, obstacle avoidance is very good, navigating around all kinds of objects.
Pros
- Detailed 3D mapping.
- Granular control with virtual walls.
- True multi-floor support (up to 4 maps).
Cons
- 3D mapping can be “extra” if you just want to press one button and be done.

Mopping
When it comes to mopping, this robot does very well with wet or fresh stains: drink marks, splashes, or new dirt usually come off without much effort in a normal pass. The limitation shows up with dried-on or stuck stains. In those cases it can struggle a lot more, and it may need multiple passes, more water, or it may not remove them completely, because automatic mopping doesn’t always have enough friction to “break loose” hardened grime.
Pros
- Great for daily upkeep and wet/fresh stains.
- Leaves floors looking more “polished” without having to mop by hand.
Cons
- Dried/stuck stains may require multiple passes or manual intervention.
- It doesn’t replace a deep scrub when grime is heavily stuck.

Automation
In automation, the Dreame L10s Ultra stands out because once you set it up, it handles almost everything: it builds a 3D map, supports no-go zones/virtual walls, saves up to 4 maps for multiple floors, and adapts cleaning to the environment (for example, it detects carpets and automatically lifts the mop pads). You can also push it harder with two or more passes and maximum suction in specific areas, which improves results—but it takes longer and uses more battery, and deep cleans can feel less “quick” than a standard pass.
Pros
- No-go zones and virtual walls to avoid problem areas.
- Stores up to 4 maps (great for multi-floor homes).
- Detects carpets and automatically lifts the mop pads.
Cons
- Automation may require some initial map/routine tweaking to get it “perfect”.
- In homes with lots of obstacles (cables/objects), runs can be interrupted if the area isn’t tidied up.
